New Sponsorship Opportunity!

Electrical Contracting Safety Data Sheet Binder Sponsorship

The New Jersey Electrical Contractors Association (NJECA) is excited to announce our new OSHA Hazard Communication Program & Safety Data Sheet binder and want you to be involved!

OSHA requires businesses to implement a written hazard communication program and provide safety data sheets for compounds found on the jobsite.  This requirement is time intensive for small businesses and NJECA wants to help!

NJECA has created a Hazard Communication Program & Material Safety Data Sheet binder designed specifically for electrical contracting businesses.  It includes a variety of important OSHA information including a sample hazard communication policy, material safety data sheets typically found an an electrical contractor's jobsite and OSHA requirement information.

NJECA member businesses receive one of these binders FREE as part of their NJECA membership as well as a Safety Data Sheet Update Service which enables them to request additional safety data sheets from NJECA to add to their binders. NJECA members may purchase additional copies of this binder for each of their trucks to ensure OSHA jobsite compliance for safety data sheets.

In addition, these binders will be made available to non-member contracting businesses who require this information for their business.

NJECA is offering a limited amount of sponsorship opportunities for these binders.  The sponsorship will be per binder print run.  The initial print run will be 250 binders and you will have first opportunity to sponsor future print runs.

ATTENTION ELECTRICIANS!! INSTALLING GENERATORS?

Did you know that you can no longer install the gas piping required for a generator installation under the new state rule? You must now hire a HVARC contractor or plumber to perform this portion of the installation!

A new rule has been issued that requires that gas piping for generator installations be completed by a HVARC contractor or plumber.  The electrical contractor is NO LONGER allowed to perform this work!  Sign the petition to change this rule to allow electrical contractors to continue installing the gas piping for generators along with the rest of the installation!
